Jade uses the magic beams of a lighthouse to travel to different worlds, but will her journey be worth leaving her grandmother behind? This was my undergrad thesis film from Ryerson University.
Process Photos:
Jade lives with her grandmother, Paige, in a cottage in the woods. Together they operate a lighthouse that helps sailors navigate the waters, but also acts as a portal, which allows people to travel to other worlds. As the operator of the lighthouse, Jade is always sending others off on their voyages, but she is desperate for her own adventure. She makes the decision to leave her grandmother and lighthouse behind in order to pursue her travels, but finds out along the way that nowhere is better than at home with family.
